ViewSonic has just announced the upcoming availability of its ViewPad 7e tablet with Gingerbread operating system and ViewScene 3D user interface.

The new addition to the ViewPad tablet lineup is aimed at users who cannot afford a Honeycomb device and promises to offer the newest and most in-demand features available on Android platform.

The tablet comes with a small 7-inch LED backlit touchscreen display with multitouch capabilities and 800 x 600 pixels resolution, which is based on ViewSonic's RiteTouch technology.

By combining Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread and a single core 1GHz processor, ViewPad 7e delivers an intuitive experience that should meet standard demands and budgets.

Our ViewPad tablet line offers a robust assortment of solutions designed to meet every individual's mobile computing needs -- spanning from business to entertainment. The ViewPad 7e extends our quality commitment to consumers that want an excellent mobile multimedia experience, at a very aggressive price point,” said Michael Holstein, vice president of business development, ViewSonic.

ViewPad 7e is delivered with Amazon Services for Android and Amazon Kindle for Android applications, which allows users to turn the tablet into an excellent e-reading device.

In addition, the tablet is pre-loaded with apps like Twitter, TuneIn Radio and WildTangent games, a service for browsing, downloading and purchasing of online and social games.

Aside Gingerbread, ViewPad 7e offers an enhanced users experience via its proprietary ViewScene 3D interface, that delivers an intuitive home screen layout with holographic visual effects.

Furthermore, the tablet packs 4GB of internal memory, as well as up to 32GB of additional storage capacity via the micro SD card slot.

Other highlights of the slate include: Wi-Fi 802.11 g/b/n and Bluetooth support, ViewSonic's AirSync technology, Micro HDMI connection, Adobe Flash 10.3 support, 3-megapixel rear camera, and secondary VGA front facing camera.

ViewSonic's ViewPad 7e will be available in North America at the end of October for a suggested retail price of $199.99 (144 EUR). The tablet will be launched in Latin America as well, sometime in November.
