ViewSonic, one of the world’s leading providers of visual display products, has announced the introduction of its fresh VG27 series of widescreen LCD monitors, designed to meet the requirements of users in the business, government and education segments.
Featuring new 20-inch and 24-inch displays, the line from ViewSonic comes to provide computer users with an ergonomic alternative to similar products on the market. ViewSonic’s announced that its latest series can deliver a high-quality visual experience, while also providing a considerable level of energy efficiency.
“We continue our prestigious 20 year long history in display technology and delivering high-quality widescreen LCD monitors with the addition of the VG27 series,” said Jeff Volpe, vice president and general manager of ViewSonic North America. “With this line, government, education and corporate customers now have an affordable solution for displaying media.”
ViewSonic’s fresh line includes the large 24-inch VG2427wm, the 22-inch VG2227 models, as well as a new WV2027wm widescreen monitor having a 20-inch display. According to ViewSonic, these solutions have been designed to deliver a 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ration and 300 nits of brightness, also enabling users with support for full 1080p HD resolutions. They’ve been featured with a slim bezel design and integrate a DVI/VGA and two port USB hub inputs for convenient connectivity.
Designed to meet the specifications of the Energy Star certification, the new monitors can provide up to 40% save in energy consumption through the integrated ECO Mode switch. Additional features include the two built-in stereo speakers and the 360-degree swivel base, which enables the end-user to take advantage of a complete HD video experience.
As for pricing and availability, ViewSonic announced that its VG27series is already available for MSRPs of US$499, US$399 and US$319 for the VG2427wm, VG2227wm, VG2027wm, respectively.
