BlackBerry Bold 9900 for Videotron leaked more than two weeks ago, but the carrier did not offer any details about its upcoming BlackBerry 7 smartphone.

Even though it doesn't come as a surprise, Videotron finally decided to go live with the Bold 9900, almost three months after Research in Motion officially announced its BlackBerry 7 devices.

Videotron customers can order the BlackBery Bold 9900 for as low as $189.95 (138 EUR) on a reduced price, or for a suggested retail price of $599.95 (435 EUR), no strings attached.

Another BlackBerry 7 smartphone, the Curve 9360 is expected to arrive at Videotron sometime this month for a price that will be disclosed in due time.

According to Videotron, “the BlackBerry Bold 9900 comes not only with the traditional keyboard and rounded design, but also a touchscreen that's a pleasure to use. It's based on the BlackBerry 7 operating system, which means browsing is faster than ever. This BlackBerry is the perfect blend of elegance and power. A pure delight.

Along with the Torch 9810 and Torch 9860, BlackBerry Bold 9900 is among the most advanced smartphones launched by Research in Motion.

However, the company plans to release several new devices based on QNX in early 2012, which are reportedly more advanced when it comes to hardware configuration.

All in all, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 offers superior performance thanks to its new integrated WebKit browser and 1.2 GHz single core QC 8655 processor.

BlackBerry Bold 9900 sports a 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 640 x 480 pixels resolution, allowing for incomparably fluid animation with the 24-bit high-resolution Liquid Graphics technology.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with 8 GB of internal memory, 768 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32 GB).
