Videogame Makes Deranged Father Smash His Daughter against the Wall

Tyrone Spellman (25), also known as Anwar Salahuddin, is being charged with the murder of his own child, in addition to other counts, including endangering the welfare of a child and possession of an instrument of crime.

The horrible crime occurred when the father, presumably baby-sitting in his wife's absence, became so upset with the infant that he repeatedly punched her in the face and then threw her against the opposite wall of the room. Spellman was having a quiet game on his Xbox, when the 17-month baby girl came stumbling and pulled the chord of the console, sending it directly to the ground.

Because he was forced to end the game and probably start another from the very beginning, the deranged father punched the girl and presumably sent her flying across the room, where she ended up with her head against the wall. When the mother finally got home, Spellman told her that the girl, Alayiah, was sound asleep in her bed.

After the police were summoned, they were given another story, namely that she had fallen out of bed. But an autopsy proved that the child had suffered injuries all over her body, pointing clearly to the fact that she had been beaten to death. The saddest part is that the Department of Human Services had been warned by an anonymous caller that strange things were going on the household, but nothing out of the ordinary was observed when the social workers paid the family a visit.

Spellman is presently in police custody, pending his appearance in court. Sources claim that a note has been left on the door of his house, asking people not to judge him, because he had never hurt a child in his entire life. But the game industry is surely to take all the blame for the crime (in the eyes of the public and of the media), simply because a man, with obvious temperamental issues and who had no job in baby-sitting was left alone with his daughter.
