One of the most appealing handsets that arrived on shelves with the older Windows Mobile platform was the HTC HD2, the predecessor of today's HTC HD7, which, of course, runs under the new Windows Phone 7 operating system from Microsoft. While one might have expected for HD2 to fall into oblivion, it seems that the device would still make it to the headlines, as enthusiasts pay a lot of attention to various methods of tweaking its capabilities.

On of the most appealing hacks for this device was the loading of Windows Phone 7 on it, which is now followed by inclusion into the mix of the latest software update for the mobile operating system, namely NoDo.

Apparently, the guys at Dark Forces Team are currently working on bringing the Windows Phone 7 NoDo software update to HTC HD2, and the video embedded at the bottom of this article should offer you a series of details on how things are evolving.

With NoDo, Windows Phone 7 users received the ability to copy&paste text on their devices, and the video below would show this very feature being demonstrated on the HD2.

Things are looking good at the moment, and chances are that the Windows Phone 7 NoDo port for the HTC HD2 won't be too far behind.

Although it comes with the needed hardware capabilities to offer support for the Windows Phone 7 platform, the HD2 was not considered for an update to the new OS, since it includes too many buttons on the front.

However, enthusiasts already managed to put the new platform inside HD2, and the NoDo update will come to its as well, so that those HD2 owners who are very fond of their devices could enjoy the latest OS version from Microsoft.

Have a look at the video below to make a better idea on how NoDo looks like on HD2, and head over to this thread on XDA-Developers to learn more on the matter.
