On Monday, Google unveiled a series of pretty appealing products it has in store for us for the near future, including the arrival of a tablet PC from mobile phone maker Motorola, one that would be launched with the next version of Android on board, namely Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

The device was showcased at the D: Dive Into Mobile conference, where Google’s Andy Rubin showcased it along with the Nexus S by Samsung, the first mobile phone to arrive on the market with the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform version.

Some info on the upcoming tablet PC already emerged, but it seems that we can now have a better look at what it has to offer, as a video available courtesy of All Things Digital enables a closer inspection of the device.

Just as said before, the upcoming Motorola tablet PC should include a touchscreen display that is larger than Samsung Galaxy Tab's 7-inch one, most probably a display that comes closer to 10 inches.

At the same time, the new device packs a dual-core Nvidia chip inside, while being powered by Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system version.

In the video below, you would have the possibility to see not only the upcoming device and the next Android flavor being showcased, but also the almost-here Google Maps 5.0.

The new navigation solution from Google offers a far more elegant graphical interface than the currently available flavor, with vectors, 3D buildings and more.

At the same time, you will be able to hear Andy Rubin explaining various features that either the upcoming software solutions should deliver (he says a few words about the hardware as well).

The Motorola device was only a prototype, and it was running an early flavor of Android Honeycomb, but things already seem pretty promising, that's for sure.

While no official release date for the device was unveiled, we should expect it to become available for purchase sometime in mid-2011. The next Android version might go official prior to that, but this is a mere supposition at the moment.
