Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is getting ready to deliver a new high-end Android-based device to its users, the DROID Incredible by HTC. Already available for pre-order on the carrier's website and via Best Buy, the new handset should hit the stores on April 29, becoming yet another highly appealing device in Verizon's offering, beside the DROID by Motorola, which is also powered by Google's mobile operating system.

While preparing the availability of DROID Incredible, Verizon has kicked off the marketing of the new device as well. A video overview with the new mobile phone emerged into the wild from the carrier itself, offering users a glimpse at what is heading their way. For what it's worth, the handset includes a great deal of appealing features, as well as a nice range of pre-loaded apps to enhance the user experience, and Verizon stresses on all of them in the video embedded at the bottom of this article.

However, it still remains to be seen what the actual marketing campaign for the device will be all about. Most of you might remember that the carrier put in place a very interesting campaign for the DROID by Motorola, its first Android-based device, and there are great chances that Incredible would enjoy the same treatment. In the meantime, take a look at the video bellow to learn a few more details on the device.

In related news, we learn that Motorola DEVOUR, another phone available from Verizon with Google's platform on board, has just received a software update. It was only a few days ago when the first reports on the new firmware update emerged into the wild, and now users say that it has been already made available for download. It might not be the Android 2.1 update most expected, but it reportedly brings enhancements to the Motorola DEVOUR, including performance improvements, fixes and more. Users can search for the update by hitting Settings > About Phone > System Updates menu on their device.
