With even the smallest motherboards evolving in terms of processing, memory and video support, small form factor PC cases have been getting more and more practical, so it is no great wonder that Cubitek is preparing this very type of casing.

Most of the more compact enclosures nowadays are usually intended for HTPCs (home-theater personal computers).

This may or may not be the case with the Cubitek Mini Tank, but there definitely seems to be some that want the product to be preceded by a suitable level of hype.

It was thus that the folks over at Caseking.de created a video in which the product is shown in detail.

One thing about it is that it measures 256 x 320 x 400 mm, meaning that it can only fit mini-ITX motherboards inside of it.

The entire case is built out of aluminum and is Cubitek's second case to be primarily intended as a retail product, though availability hasn't been reached yet.

Like all enclosures, it has 5.35-inch ODD (optical disk drive) bays, two of them in this case, though they can also be used for less ordinary items, like fan controllers or accessories of similar size.

In addition to those, four 3.5-inch drive bays exist on the inside, in addition to a pair of 2.5-inch ones, for hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid state drives (SSDs).

To these is added the obligatory I/O panel, set on the front, which features eSATA connectivity and, most importantly, a pair of USB 3.0 ports.

Finally, in order to ensure that excessive heat never accumulates, Cubitek threw in a pair of fans, a 120mm one at the back and a 140mm spinner at the front. Unfortunately, it is not exactly clear when sales will begin, or for what price, but the Mini Tank should still arrive this quarter.
