Among the new devices that Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion has in store for its users for the ongoing year, we can count the BlackBerry Curve “Apollo” as well, although it might not be the greatest handset of them all. The mobile phone was spotted into the wild before, and has just made an appearance in a presentation video, coming from Vietnamese website Tinh te (via).   From the looks of it, the new BlackBerry Curve “Apollo” should arrive on shelves as an affordable device, at least when compared to the already official Bold 9900 smartphone.

Of course, considering the usual price tag devices in RIM's Curve series feature, this does not come too much as a surprise, that's for sure.

However, the video hands-on embedded at the bottom of this article shows that the upcoming smartphone would be able to appeal a lot to users, both when it comes to its looks, as well as courtesy of its capabilities.

The new smartphone would be thinner than the previous Curve 8900 handset, being only 11mm thick, and would include a 800Mhz Marvell Tavor CPU MG-1 application processor inside.

The same as the new Bold smartphone, the BlackBerry Curve “Apollo” would arrive on shelves with a touch-insensitive 480 x 360 screen, and with a QWERTY keyboard. On the back, the mobile phone should sport a 5-megapixel photo snapper.

The rumored specs list of the new device would also include 512MB of RAM, along with 512MB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity would also be included with the new device, as well as GPS receiver, NFC connectivity, and USB port.

This would be the GSM flavor of RIM's upcoming Curve device, with the CDMA sibling being called Curve “Sedona.” Have a look at the video embedded below to learn more on it.
