Critics often describe Ke$ha as a “young Lady Gaga,” though it’s clear that she stands perfectly well on her own feet. After topping the charts and holding on to the foremost position for quite some time with her first single off her debut album, Ke$ha is back to cause some noise with “Blah Blah Blah.” A video for the single is already available, as Celebrity-Mania can confirm.
The concept of the video is that Ke$ha and her girls hit the clubs and they’re assaulted by guys who talk and talk and never seem to stop. Of course, that’s not what she’s after, especially since the guys approaching her are all “douches,” as Ke$ha herself said in an interview with MTV. Overall, the video is fun and, in true Ke$ha fashion, very colorful and lively, which means it goes perfectly with the upbeat single.
“The whole concept of the video was a bunch of douche-y guys macking on me as usual, and me making them eat their toupees or other various items. At one point, I get to be strapped to this harness and bouncing around everywhere, and it was really cool,” Ke$ha was saying a while back. Indeed, at one point in the video, she does appear strapped through a harness and flying through the air – though not quite “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon” type of flying.
The song “came about when the people that wrote it – me, Benny Blanco, Neon Hitch and [3Oh!3’s] Sean Foreman – all got in a room, and they were talking about how chicks talk too much. And me and Neon were like, ‘No, no, no, guys talk too much.’ So, we had this war of who were more obnoxious, chicks or dudes. And the song kind of came around from that conversation. I think I make a pretty fair point both in this video and in the song, that dudes are way more annoying,” the singer also said of how she came to write the song.
As noted above, “Blah Blah Blah” is the second official single from Ke$ha’s debut album, “Animal,” now out in stores. See below for the video and, of course, enjoy.
