Eminem fans have a lot of surprises in store for them in the coming weeks: not only is the rapper coming out with a brand new album at the end of June 22, but he’s also releasing a video for the first single off it. Called “Not Afraid,” the video will premiere in just a few days from now, on June 5, AceShowbiz informs.

The announcement comes straight from Eminem, who let his fans hear the good news straight from the source on his Twitter page. The video has already been shot and is now being prepared for the big premiere, which will promote the release of his seventh studio album, “Recovery.” As we also noted on a previous occasion, “Recovery” was initially meant to be “Relapse 2,” as Eminem had announced, but it turned out to be completely different and the rapper deemed it needed its own release.

“Eminem’s music video in support of his new single ‘Not Afraid’ has gotten an official premiere date. ‘For those “patiently waiting,” the NOT AFRAID video will premiere Saturday 6/5,’ so the Slim Shady wrote on his Twitter. The upcoming clip is directed by Rich Lee, the same man who worked on Black Eyed Peas’ ‘Imma Be’ and ‘Rock That Body’ as well as Jesse McCartney’s ‘How Do You Sleep’ and The Pussycat Dolls’ ‘Hush Hush.’ Eminem and his entourage were snapped filming the video on the streets of Newark, New Jersey in early May,” AceShowbiz writes.

“‘Not Afraid’ is the lead single of Eminem’s upcoming effort ‘Recovery’ which is due June 22. It debuted atop Billboard Hot 100 and Digital Songs Chart, scoring the biggest sales week for a digital track this calendar year with 380,000 first-week digital download. In the previously-revealed tracklisting, Eminem has lined up Kobe, Pink, Lil Wayne and Rihanna for featured guests on this upcoming summer release,” the publication further says.

Other collaborators include DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin and Boi-1da, as the press statement announcing the release date of the album specified back in April and we informed you. Make sure you keep an eye on this space for more details on Eminem’s new material.
