The new AdSense program can be really useful

A few days ago, Google officially rolled out AdSense video units, a new feature of the advertising platform which is supposed to integrate YouTube videos straight into the adverts distributed on thousands of websites. This is a pretty nice idea because more visitors might be attracted by these adverts so the AdSense registered publishers could record larger amounts of money. According to the YouTube team, the adverts distributed through AdSense's video units are powered by TV Guide Broadband, Expert Village, Next New Networks, Extreme Elements, Mondo Media, Ford Models, Lisanova, Lonelygirl15 and many more.

"AdSense is collaborating with select YouTube content partners to supply the videos for these video units to display on third party Adsense partner websites. We're pretty excited about this because we're now able to offer YouTube content partners, if they choose, a significant opportunity to reach new audiences. There are thousands of websites that use Google AdSense, which means more people to watch these videos," the YouTube team wrote on the official blog of the video sharing service.

At this time, AdSense video units are available only for the registered publishers from the United States with English-based websites. The new feature included in the Google advertising platform is available under the AdSense Setup tab from your Google AdSense account.

"You can choose categories of video to target to your site, select content from individual YouTube partners, or have video automatically targeted to your site content. Companion and text overlay ads are relevant and non-intrusive. To further blend the YouTube player into your site, you can also customize the color scheme and layout as well as choose from three different player sizes," Ryan Hayward, AdSense Product Marketing, said about the AdSense video unit configuration process.
