Video (formerly Totem) 3.12.1, the official movie player of the GNOME desktop environment based on Gstreamer that features a playlist, a full-screen mode, seek and volume controls, as well as keyboard navigation, has been released and is now available for download.

The new GNOME 3.12 is out, and most of the major packages have been included and updated. The developers found some problems that needed to be fixed and they have issued a new version to solve them.

According to the changelog, the required versions of grilo and GStreamer have been updated, the delete button's initial state has been fixed, the switch to the player view is now made a lot quicker, support has been added for starting a playlist that has been paused, and it's now possible to escape the selection mode when pressing the Esc key.

Also, shuffled items are no longer starting to play in a random order, the popups are now hidden when the user is leaving the window, the scroll-wheel is no longer going forward 2 minutes instead of 1, and the downloaded subtitles are now saved in the video directory.

A complete list of modifications can be found in the official changelog. You can download the Video (formerly Totem) 3.12.1 sources right now from Softpedia.
