While visiting the Yellowstone National Park in the US last month, a man by the name of Tom Carter and one of his friends, a woman identified as Suzie Hollingsworth, experienced a freakishly close encounter with a buffalo.

As shown in the video below, Tom Carter and Suzie Hollingsworth were just driving around when they noticed a group of buffalo running towards them on the road.

Most of the animals stopped at the sight of the Yellowstone visitor's vehicle. One of them, however, kept running and eventually hit the man's SUV head first.

The impact was fairly powerful, so it should not come as no surprise that both Tom Carter and Suzie Hollingsworth were freaked out by the incident.

The good news is that nobody was in any way hurt. Mind you, even the buffalo simply walked away. The man's SUV, on the other hand, was left in pretty bad shape by the collision.

It is unclear why it was that the wild animal crashed into the vehicle. Wildlife experts believe that it was agitated because of the presence of too many cars in the area and took its frustrations out on Tom Carter's SUV.

Apparently, the man and his companion could have easily avoided getting hit by the infuriated animal, had they just moved their car and given it some personal space.
