Curious how the first-ever iPhone stacks up against the latest version of Apple’s crown jewel? A video is up on YouTube showing just that.

EverythingApplePro has uploaded a cool video featuring eight different generations of iPhones (seven, if you count the 5s and 5c as in the same class), to show how they stack against one another in various tests – rebooting, Safari page loading, and even shutting down.

Surprisingly, the first-generation iPhone (or iPhone 2G) is actually one of the fastest to power off, beating much newer handsets like the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 3G.

The tester assures us all phones were running their stock firmware with no jailbreaks installed.

It’s a pretty enjoyable click, and I personally loved the bit at the start where he slides his finger across all phones to unlock them all in a single long swipe. You know, like bartenders do with shots.
