Video Shows Cool Samsung Transparent, Flexible Screen

We've seen a lot of ideas that never really got to turn into reality, because they were too far-fetched, but Samsung's flexible 3D AMOLED Display might just manage to avoid the limbo of great but impossible ideas.

Sure, the bits about holographic projection are a bit much, but the rest of the video actually is feasible, even if just remotely.

We can't exactly tell where all the chips and circuits are hidden, but concepts are known for taking liberties, so we're not surprised.

The above video shows a bendable panel letting the owner read a book, clicking pictures and even scanning surrounding objects.

When 'closed' the item is actually rolled up, supposedly tight enough to fit in a pocket, but it can be easily spread and activated.

We don't actually expect anything to come of this in the near future, especially since the idea would imply that all the other parts (the aforementioned circuitry) be rendered invisible as well. It's still a cool idea though.
