Earlier this month, former Olympian and reality star Bruce Jenner was involved in a 4-car accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, resulting in 8 injured and 1 dead. The investigation into the causes of the crash is still underway, but a new video seems to shift all the blame for it onto Jenner.

The video was shot by cameras on an MTA bus and is now in the hands of the police, TMZ informs. A recreation of the crash is available below: it was not based on the aforementioned video, but it reflects what happens on it.

New video could lead to manslaughter charge for Jenner

Initial reports after the crash claimed that it was Jenner who rear-ended one of the cars, sending it into incoming traffic and thus causing the pile-up. The car in question was driven by a woman with a suspended license: she was pronounced dead on the scene after being hit frontally by a speeding Hummer.

The same reports claimed that Jenner was either texting behind the wheel or smoking, which meant he got distracted and couldn’t brake in time to avoid the collision. He was driving too close to the car in front either way, as paparazzi photos taken before the crash indicated.

Then, it was claimed that Jenner had used the brakes and that it was malfunction on the other car that caused the collision, which he’d done his best to avoid. He wasn’t texting, but he was smoking - not that the latter is illegal.

This new video, the celebrity publication says, shifts all the blame onto Jenner once more, because it shows him rear-ending the white car and sending it into oncoming traffic, and then plowing into yet another car.

He must have really been driving too close to be able to brake in time, the video indicates. If police determine that he is the one who caused the accident, and not the driver who died, he could be prosecuted for manslaughter.

Troubled times for Bruce Jenner

Since the crash, Jenner has issued only one statement to express his regret at having been involved in it and to send his well wishes to all those who were hurt and the victim’s family. Because this is an ongoing investigation, he couldn’t say more even if he wanted, but his move on the next day, of lawyering up, hints that he’s aware of the part he played in all this.

This tragedy comes on the heels of too much unwanted media attention over his alleged transition to female, which he will supposedly talk about in an exclusive interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer and in an upcoming E!-produced docuseries.

His family, included the extended Kardashian clan, are yet to address the crash. They continue with their usual routine of doing business and paparazzi photo ops / media appearances to promote whatever project they have coming out.
