BlackBerry Bold 9780, the yet unannounced Bold model that Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is expected to soon make available for purchase in various markets around the world, has just got its first video review brought to the Internet. This is not the first time the
BlackBerry Bold 9780 makes it into the wild, nor the first time it emerges
on video, though it is the first review it receives, especially since it emerged before the handset was officially announced to the world.
The new device, which is nothing else than the successor of BlackBerry Bold 9700, should land on shelves with RIM's new BlackBerry 6 OS on board, while packing some enhanced hardware specs.
The new smartphone is expected to arrive on shelves with similar looks with its
predecessor, while including 512MB of RAM, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper.
Other than that, users would be able to enjoy a HVGA display with this handset, as well as a full QWERTY keyboard complemented by an optical trackpad, Wi-Fi and 3G with HSDPA connectivity options, built-in GPS receiver, microSD memory card slot, and others more.
As stated above, RIM hasn't announced the new
device officially as of yet, but leaked info on its possible availability on the market did emerge.
It seems that mobile phone users in the UK would be among those who will get the new Bold device first, and that
Vodafone and T-Mobile might both launch the handset on their airwaves.
Moreover, a series of leaked marketing materials from T-Mobile UK (available
via electricpig.co.uk) show that the carrier would indeed release the new Bold on its airwaves, even if it hasn't confirmed the move officially as of yet.
Canadians
should also get the new BlackBerry Bold 9780 in the near future, and some info on the handset's availability at Bell Mobility emerged today.
According to
BGR, the
phone should hit the shelves on November 2nd priced at $499.99 without a contract agreement, but no info on the contract price it would feature emerged.
