A series of "Counter Strike" maps use a Vancouver school as a backdrop

Authorities and parents are worried over a series of "Counter Strike" user maps depicting the interior of the Port Moody High School in Vancouver, Canada.

As previously detailed, the maps have been created by school alumni who believe that a familiar setting will engage them in the game.

Seeing a screenshot of someone opening fire in a school is enough to give anyone the chills, and the Inqusitr notes that Columbine killer Eric Harris made similar game maps for Doom before going on a killing spree.

”Doom is so burned into my head, my thoughts usually have something to do with the game,” he allegedly said before the massacre.

Developers are aware of the existence of the maps and have dismissed rumors about students at Port Moody being threatened. Were they created by students at the school, however, I believe that they would be regarded as a cause for public concern.
