Victoria II might not be the kind of game that everyone wants to play during the holiday season, but the Paradox Interactive title is an oddly appropriate choice because it allows players to actually play as a nation comprised entirely of polar bears, nestled near the North Pole.

The video shows exactly how the nation can be created and what it can achieve in the grand strategy title once it is independent from its initial overlord, Sweden.

Victoria II is one of the most complex video games ever released, allowing players to take control of any nation in the world and guide it during the crucial years of the nation building periods of the XIX century.

The team that created the experience has managed to model complex demographics trends, and diplomacy, economics and war can be used to expand borders and create world spanning empires.

Victoria II is currently on sale via Steam.
