If you are or were a Spice Girls fan at any time of your life, the following article won't make your week any brighter. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Victoria Beckham killed off all reunion rumors in the bud.

Beckham did the interview as part of a photo shoot for Vanity Fair Italy and Spain and, naturally, the burning question of the Spice Girls reuniting at some point in the future could not be avoided.

Answering to the elephant in the room, Victoria plainly said in the interview quoted by the Daily Mail, “I won't ever do it again. Doing the Olympics was an incredible honor. I was so proud to do it; proud to be British.”

She's referring to the 2012 reunion she and the rest of the band, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Mel C and Geri Halliwell did for the London Olympics.

At the time, it was hoped it was just the preamble to a longer lasting reunion and possibly even new material and tours. Alas, it wasn't mean to be. Victoria explains, “That was a perfect time to say, ‘That's great. Thank you to everybody, but no more.’ Sometimes you've got to know when it's time to leave the party.”

The rest of the interview dealt with Victoria's new passion, fashion, but she did acknowledge that her musical career helped her become the woman she was.

Back in their heyday, the Spice Girls were the quintessential girl group, sparking off a world craze and influencing an entire generation of pop artists with their “girl power” catch phrase and attitude.

The first time the Spice Girls broke up, back in 1998, it was Geri Halliwell that first said goodbye to the group. The remaining four girls claimed they could pull it off, but it soon became evident that things had changed.

Ever since then, the Spice Girls only reunion remains that for the 2012 London Olympics when they performed a medley of “Wannabe” and “Spice up Your Life” at the closing ceremony. Their show sparked immense feedback from fans who demanded a permanent reunion of the band.

At one moment or another, each of the members had separately expressed her wish to reunite the group, or at least, they did not rule it out as happening in the future. That is, all but Victoria, who now looks determined to put the Spice Girl image behind her and move on.
