Victoria Beckham, Official Stylist on American Idol

Though the US media saw with anything but kind eyes Victoria Beckham’s temporary stay on American Idol as judge during the auditions, the producers of the show were delighted with her. In fact, so delighted they were they have offered her a permanent job on the show, though not as a judge, as the UK version of OK! Magazine has learned.

Instead of a position on the panel, Victoria Beckham has been offered a very well paid job as official stylist to the contestants on AI. This would not only help her work on her reputation as a fashionista and perhaps even have some of her creations showcased, but it would also bring her more exposure in the US media, other than the one she gets from paparazzi, it is being said. The pay is also very good, which is why she’s actually considering doing this.

“British designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham has reportedly been in talks with bosses at American Idol about becoming a stylist for the US TV show. A source said Victoria is giving the offer ‘serious thought’ in hopes that the job could offer her designs some more exposure. She is thought to have been offered £60,000 per episode to dress the contestants for the live shows,” the aforementioned publication writes.

Even if this report doesn’t check out, Victoria is not lacking offers, it is further being said. Her recent short stint on American Idol has left Simon Cowell positively smitten with her, which is why he’s already asked her to accept his offer as judge on the US version of his upcoming X Factor, other reports in the local media claim. However, Posh is not jumping at this because a career in television is not what she wants, but rather one in fashion, wherefrom the AI offer appeals to her more.

A rep for Cowell has already denied the rumor of him wanting her for X Factor, saying “It’s complete rubbish. Nobody has ever had a conversation with Victoria Beckham or her people about this. She has not even been considered for the job.”
