The latest issue of Allure magazine brings an in-depth interview with Victoria Beckham, presumably taken before she confirmed that she was pregnant with her fourth child. In it, she talks fashion, love and growing old.
The former singer turned fashion designer says for the mag that she doesn’t feel the pressure of growing old, even if she does it under a microscope because she’s a public person.
Knowing that she’s growing old next to the man she wants to spend her entire life with and in such a loving family as hers is, is enough for Victoria to appreciate each passing year.
“For the first time, I feel like what you see is what you get. This is me: the more natural hair, the slightly more relaxed way of dressing,” she says for Allure.
“I feel really content personally and professionally. I’m not freaked out about getting older. I’m growing older with the most amazing man I’ve ever met – with my soul mate. Life’s great,” she adds.
Victoria also says that, contrary to what people may believe of her, she’s quite a homebody who enjoys nothing more than a night in with her family, her husband and her children.
And, for those wondering why she’s hardly photographed smiling and who speculate (jokingly) that it’s because she doesn’t have teeth: Victoria does have teeth and she does smile – a lot, actually.
“Our house is a really happy house. There are kids running around and laughing and joking, I smile so much more than people would think,” she says.
“There’s nothing better than being in LA with my kids, cooking dinner with my husband and having a romantic night in, and I get an email, and Demi Moore, Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Blake Lively, or whoever it is, is doing the red carpet and wearing my dress,” Victoria adds.
The other day, the star rubbished reports that she was expecting a baby girl: if she was pregnant with a daughter, she doesn’t know about it yet, she said, as we
also reported.
