Much has been said about Victoria and David Beckham’s marriage and even about how she always wanted to have a baby girl to style in her own image. She may have the chance now: the Beckhams are expecting their fourth child.
Over the weekend, David took to his Facebook account to announce the wonderful news to his fans – and, in doing so, he actually managed to beat the tabloids to it, since not a peep of Victoria’s pregnancy made it in print before the announcement.
“I’ve got some great news to tell you all,” David wrote on Facebook, as TMZ’s
Too Fab writes. As noted above, the announcement came quite out of the blue.
“Victoria and I are expecting our fourth child this summer. The boys are very excited about the arrival of a new brother or sister,” the star added.
People magazine reached out to the couple’s rep for official confirmation of the pregnancy. It was duly given, but further details have not been revealed to the public.
“David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer,” the rep says in a statement for the magazine.
David and Victoria already have three boys, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5 ½, but they never ruled out the possibility of adding a fourth sometime in the future. As People writes, it seems that time has come.
“I think one day, if we’re blessed to have more children, it would be amazing,” 36-year-old Victoria said in one of her older interviews, when asked whether she’d like to add more children to her brood.
“It’s a lot having three boys... But who knows, one day?” she added in the same interview, cited by People.
