Rep denies Victoria Beckham gave birth on the Fourth of July, says she still has one week to go

Contrary to reports making the rounds these past couple of days, Victoria Beckham has not given birth to a baby girl on the Fourth of July. Moreover, she and David have not named the girl Alabama or Felicity, her rep says.

Word that Victoria and David had decided to have their baby daughter delivered through C-section in the US on July 4 has been around for quite a while, but, over these past couple of days, it got out of control completely.

The frenzy peaked yesterday, the day when Victoria presumably admitted herself to a clinic in LA to welcome her first daughter into the world.

The only problem is that this didn’t happen: according to Beckham’s rep, speaking to the Daily Mail, Victoria is still pregnant and has another week to go before seeing her daughter.

“The rumors are rubbish, Victoria has not had the baby but she will be giving birth soon,” her rep says for the publication.

Simon Oliveira, David’s publicist, is also speaking out to set the record straight, tweeting that nothing of what has been said and written in the past couple of days is true.

“Contrary to certain reports, David and Victoria Beckham’s baby is not due today and that was never the case...” Oliveira tweeted.

As we also noted some time ago, reports claimed that David and Victoria had decided to have the baby on the Fourth of July in the US for two reasons.

First of all, it was their way of paying “homage” to their adoptive country. Secondly, they would have welcomed their daughter on their marriage anniversary.

While it’s clear that Victoria will give birth in the US, the date remains unknown. The same goes for the baby’s name, which is yet to be revealed to the public.
