The new application is available for download via Google Play store

Viber Media, creators of Viber messaging application for mobile phones, have just announced there’s a new version available for download for Android devices.

The software is available for free and allows users to call, text and send pictures anywhere in the world without having to pay a dime.

The new version of Viber brings Android 4.1 Jelly Bean support, as well as some bug fixes and improvements, which have yet to be detailed by the developers.

In addition, the application also allows users to send free messages to groups of friends, as well as share photos, links and invite friends to join.

The latest Viber 2.2.1.21 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0 and up. Check it out here.
