Vertu Ascent Ti has been recently spotted on the FCC site, receiving its approval for entering the US market. It must have been difficult for them to handle an accessory by mobile phone standards, but it turned out just fine and the phone now comes with official specifications.

One of the special features that the Ascent Ti brings is the Vertu Fortress technology. This synchronizes important data on the phone such as contact details, calendar and notes to a remote server. Rumor has it that this rests in an ex-military bunker at a secure location in the English countryside, to store personal and business dirty secrets far away from anyone who might be interested in them. That's a rather eccentric thought, but it suits perfectly the image that the Vertu line of phones has managed to build over the years.

The Ascent Ti will run in quadband GSM networks. Impressively enough, this is one of the few luxury phones out there that also takes into consideration the performances that it is capable of providing for its user. The handset has a 3 megapixel camera that is supposed to offer captures at a quality above average. Moreover, it also brings 3G technology, that should provide fast data transfer speeds and great personal file management.

This special edition phone also comes with some special treats. Bond-movie composer David Arnold has composed three special ringtones to match the car theme of the handset. Moreover, there some special wallpapers will also be included.

Vertu Ascent Ti will hit the Singapore markets as soon as this October. Its price will be a fairly cheap one, especially if compared to previous handsets coming from Nokia's line of luxury phones. The most expensive such mobile phone is the Vertu Signature Cobra that comes at USD 310,000. Next to that, the USD 9,800 price tag on Vertu Ascent Ti sounds like nothing big, although it is not a thing that many people can afford.
