One of the favorite ways of the rich and famous to boast that they are, well, rich and famous, is to show off their many luxury cars. And nowadays you really can't claim to be famous if you haven't at
one point in time owned a Ferrari.
Leaving aside all of the technical aspects of Ferrari cars, most of the people buying them do it because they're fast, flashy and easily stand out of the crowd. Now the ones that actually own such a car can go get a perfect accessory to match it,
Vertu's newest product, the Vertu Ascent Ferrari Limited Edition.
The reason to buy this phone would be pretty much the same as in the case of the car. While not one of Vertu's phones has ever had any impressive features to sport, the handsets are quite popular with celebs (most likely because of their exclusivity and high price tag). The new Ascent Ferrari comes with a leather black and red case with black lacquer stripes running on the side, design which was apparently inspired from the dynamic and stylish Ferrari cars. It features a scaled down iconic Ferrari brake pedal on the back, crafted from high-graded aluminum and the famed prancing horse on the front.
Only 1947 such phones will be handcrafted in the UK, which each being individually serialised from 1 to 1947, to commemorate Ferrari's 60th Anniversary. The co-branded phone is also meant to be a symbol of Ferrari and Vertu's continuing partnership in the Ferrari Challenge. It will become available in July this year in
Vertu stores worldwide, for a yet undeclared price.
