Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is set to bring to the spotlight at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this week a nice range of LTE (Long Term Evolution) products, services and solutions.

The company already announced plans to make an announcement on this area at the upcoming event, and it now confirmed plans to launch Android-based LTE consumer devices on January 6th, only two days from now.

“Visitors to the exhibit booth (Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, #35216) will see firsthand how the nation’s fastest 4G LTE network can fundamentally change how consumers manage their daily lives and how businesses interact with each other and with their customers,” the wireless carrier announced.

According to Verizon Wireless, it has been working with a wide range of partners for delivering LTE devices to customers, and plans on showcasing over 40 new solutions that would provide access to the enhanced speeds and low latency the new broadband network can offer.

The company plans on demonstrating various products that take advantage of LTE at the upcoming show, including gaming and entertainment, or consumer devices, and more.

“The demos will also feature new ways to do mobile collaboration for retail, customer service and other industries; home and energy management; and consumer entertainment, including multiplayer gaming, all of which leverage the 4G network in innovative ways,” the wireless carrier announced.

“Verizon Wireless and its partners will also feature remote security and health care options and a car that shows different applications coming from the automotive industry.”

At the same time, the company plans on showcasing the first Android-based devices that would arrive on its 4G LTE network, which was launched in the United States in December 2010.

The new network can offer speeds that are up to 10 times faster than those available on Verizon Wireless’ 3G network, the company notes. According to Big Red, the 4G network should cover the entire 3G footprint within three years.
