This week, Verizon Wireless started selling its first Windows Phone 8 devices, namely the Nokia Lumia 822 and Windows Phone 8X by HTC, but it seems that it is also preparing a treat for its users.

While these two smartphones are available for purchase at $99 and $199 on contract, respectively, the already announced Samsung ATIV Odyssey might hit shelves at $0 with the signing of an agreement.

The info comes from Verizon Wireless CMO Tami Erwin, who told The Verge that “before the end of the year we will have a device that comes in at the free [price] point."

The ATIV Odyssey hasn’t been detailed as of yet, but Verizon promised it for December, which means that it might not be too long before it makes an official appearance out there.
