Galaxy S4 mini, the smaller flavor of Samsung’s latest flagship Android handset, is expected to make an official appearance on shelves in the United States in the not too distant future.

Verizon Wireless is expected to be the first carrier to launch it.

The handset was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website with model number Samsung SCH-I435 attached to it, and this might be the first version of the device to land on shelves in the United States, it seems.

As PhoneArena notes, given that Galaxy S III landed on shelves at Verizon as SCH-I535, while the Galaxy S4 was released as SCH-I545, it would make sense for SCH-I435 to be launched as Galaxy S4 mini.

No official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now but, with the handset is already available for pre-order in the UK, and should be launched in other markets around the world too in the near future.
