One day after AT&T kicked off pre-orders for BlackBerry Z10, another US-based carrier announced the upcoming availability of the smartphone, Verizon Wireless.

The Big Red has confirmed that BlackBerry Z10 will be available for purchase beginning March 28 for as low as $200/€155 with new two-year agreements.

The good news for Verizon customers is that the white version of Blackberry Z10 is exclusive to the carrier, so they can now pre-order one for the price mentioned earlier. Pre-orders are now live at Verizon’s online store and Best Buy locations across the country.

One of the few US-based carriers to skip the BlackBerry Z10, Sprint has announced that it will offer its customers the more traditional BlackBerry Q10, featuring both touchscreen display and physical QWERTY keyboard.

However, word is that Sprint will eventually launch an all-touch BlackBerry 10 later this year, but it won’t be the Z10 that is now being released by other operators in the United States.

BlackBerry Z10 has already been available in North America for more than a month, but only Canadians can purchase the phone from various carriers.

It appears that US operators needed more time to bring the first BlackBerry 10 device to their customers, and the motives behind their decision are a bit unclear.

All in all, BlackBerry Z10 is one of the strongest devices built by the Canadian company. The smartphone comes packed with a powerful 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The phone boasts a 4.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 768 x 1280 pixels resolution, as well as an enhanced 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

Last but not least, the Z10 drains energy from a 1800 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 310 hours of standby time or up to 10 hours of talk time.
