They are expected to go on sale before Thanksgiving

Major carrier Verizon announced last week that it would offer Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC 8X Windows Phone 8 devices.

The Big Red also confirmed that the Lumia 822 would be available for purchase for $100/€80 with a new two-year agreement and after a $50/€40 mail-in rebate.

The HTC 8X will go on sale for $200/€155 on a 2-year contract and after a $50/€40 mail-in rebate.

Today, Verizon came forward with a brief update stating both Windows Phone 8 devices, the Nokia Lumia 822 and HTC 8X will be up for pre-order starting November 9. In addition, the carrier confirmed the smartphones would hit shelves before Thanksgiving.

In the same piece of news, Verizon said it would launch another Windows Phone 8 device, the Samsung Ativ S Odyssey, which should be available by the end of the year.
