The wireless carrier is already trialing in two markets

Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is set to deliver voice capabilities on its LTE network as soon as next year, recent reports suggest.

The wireless carrier is said to be already trialing the capability, although the company did not offer official details on this for the time being.

According to Light Reading, Catharine Trebnick, VP at Northland Capital Markets, confirmed this: “VZW has two cities now trialing [VoLTE] and plans for national rollout in early 2013.” Another source also supported this assertion, the news site notes.

Verizon already said that it planned on adding VoLTE to its network, and also said that 2012 would bring the feature to its users. Chances are that the wireless carrier is still on track to make the move this year, though it might have the capability rolled out nationwide only next year.
