BlackBerry Storm 2 (9550), the second smartphone the Canadian mobile-phone maker Research In Motion will deliver to the market with a touchscreen display, seems set to make an appearance on Verizon's lineup as soon as October 28 is here. The handset has been already rumored to come to Big Red on that day, with a series of leaked documents sustaining the assertion, and now a new document has popped up on the Web, showing exactly the same October 28 as the release day for the second Storm.

Verizon Wireless was suspected at one moment to have delayed the launch of BlackBerry Storm 2, yet it seems that the smartphone will actually make an appearance on the carrier's offering before the end of this month. Engadget has just published a new document that shows the touchscreen-enabled device being set for launch on October 28, and also came up with a possible pricing for the phone.

Those who were already waiting for the second Storm to make an appearance will certainly be glad to learn that it might be priced at $179.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the carrier, and after a $100 mail-in rebate. In case Big Red will also include the device in its BOGO promotion, things will be even more attractive for enthusiasts, that's for sure.

And we're pretty sure that there are already a lot of users waiting for Verizon to make an official announcement on Storm 2, especially since the handset is set to bring forth a wide range of improvements over the older Storm, including Wi-Fi connectivity, a better touch input, the nice-looking BlackBerry OS 5.0, and others more. October 28 is only four days ahead, so the wait seems to be almost over. Hopefully, the rumors will pan out, so stay tuned to learn more details on this.
