One of the smartphones that South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is expected to bring to the market this year will land at Verizon wireless in the form of LG Lucid 3, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Today, the smartphone has emerged online in a leaked press photo, available courtesy of infamous tipster @evleaks, providing us with the possibility to learn a bit more on what it will look like when brought to shelves.

Unfortunately, no specific info on what the device might have to offer in terms of hardware specifications has been provided as of now.

Based on the features and capabilities that LG Lucid 2 arrived on shelves with, we can expect the new phone to be launched as a mid-range smartphone, though with pretty appealing specs inside.

This might include a larger screen, a faster, latest-generation processor, more RAM, and a better camera on the back (Lucid 2 arrived with a 4.3-inch display, a dual-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 5MP camera).

The new device also comes with a more rounded design compared to last year’s phone, as well as with a new back plate design, for better grip. It will offer support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network, just as Lucid 2, and it might run under Android 4.4 KitKat, judging by the whitened icons in the notifications bar.

Details on when the new LG Lucid 3 (model number VS876) will be launched are not available either, though we might see it going official at Verizon as soon as next month, one year after its predecessor. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
