HTC 7 Trophy, the first Windows Phone 7 smartphone set to make an appearance on shelves at Verizon Wireless, has just made an appearance on Best Buy's website, with a price tag of $599 attached to it.

For the time being, the phone is listed as out of stock, though it might not be too long before it actually hits shelves.

No official announcement on the matter was made for the time being, but rumors on the upcoming availability of this phone at Verizon have emerge ever since last fall.

Verizon is currently the only large wireless carrier in the United States who hasn't launched a Windows Phone 7 device.

AT&t and T-Mobile released their phones in November last year, while Sprint brought the CDMA HTC Arrive on shelves in March.

Trophy was expected to land at Verizon ever since February, but it seems that the carrier is taking its time before jumping the Windows Phone 7 bandwagon.

Nothing was confirmed on the arrival of this mobile phone, nor on its price tag, since the listing at Best Buy might be only a placeholder.

On thing that the listing seems to confirm is the model number of the new device, which is MWP6985.

Although it did not launch a Windows Phone 7 device as of now, Verizon is expected to make the move soon, and to add to its offering more than just one such handset.

According to the news, the wireless carrier might soon make room in its warehouse for the HTC Pro as well, both of which should be launched with the NoDo software update on board.

Although the Trophy was said to arrive ever since early 2011, users interested in it might have to wait a bit longer before being able to make a purchase, since the launch date was reportedly pushed back to May. Stay tuned for more on this.
