Samsung’s TouchWiz interface is present on it as well

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is set to arrive on Galaxy S III only next month, Samsung has confirmed, but that did not prevent enthusiasts from porting the platform to it.

Verizon’s Galaxy S III has seen a new such port recently, brought to it from T-Mobile’s version of the device, it seems, with the popular TouchWiz UI included in the equation.

As it usually happens with this kind of unofficial ports, a series of bugs that might affect users’ experience with the device still exists, though it appears that none of them is severe.

GPS directions do not work on the device, and force-closes occur when trying to change the homescreen wallpaper by long-pressing on the screen. Those who would like to take the ROM for a spin should head over to this thread on XDA-Developers to learn more on it.
