Galaxy Nexus is certainly a great device, especially when paired with Verizon’s fast LTE network, although its battery life might not be as long as users would like it to be.

To rectify this, Samsung released an extended battery package for its first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-based mobile phone, and is currently offering it for free for Verizon’s users.

Those who purchase a new Galaxy Nexus handset from Verizon can now take advantage of this limited time offering straight from Samsung’s website.

In addition to the free 2100 mAh extended battery for Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus, Samsung is also throwing in a new battery door to fit the device.

The deal is available only for mobile phones purchased on contract from Samsung. The phone costs $299 (225 Euro) with a new two-year agreement.
