Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus in Stock at Retailers on December 9th

Following rumors on the possible launch of the new Galaxy Nexus smartphone on Verizon’s airwaves only in early December, more proof that things might happen this way started to emerge.

Online retailer Negri Electronics has just confirmed on Twitter that they will have the new mobile phone in stock on December 9th, one day after Big Red supposedly makes the device available for its customers.

Of course, this is not an official confirmation per se, but it does bring us a bit closer to the truth, especially since the retailer claims that the info comes from their own contact at the wireless carrier.

With Canada set to get a taste of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered Galaxy Nexus starting with December 8, it would make sense for US users to receive the handset at least at the same time.
