Verizon has yet to make an official announcement on the availability of Galaxy Nexus on its airwaves; yet, it seems that enthusiasts can already have a closer look at the phone, courtesy of leaked press photos and a hands-on video.

The device model that will land on shelves at Big Red sports similar looks with the GSM version, though it is a bit thicker, as we already reported, and it also sports the Verizon logo on the back.

Moreover, the Ice Cream Sandwich device shows an LTE logo beside Verizon’s mark, proving once again that it will arrive with support for the wireless carrier’s 4G network, if there was any doubt about it.

The leaked press photos that can be seen attached to this article courtesy of AndroidForums come from the coming soon page Verizon put up for the handset, where they were embedded in the resources of a Flash animation.

Unfortunately, no details on the phone’s release date emerged for the time being, though we tend to believe that it will arrive on the market in early December, just as previously rumored.

Although this is not the real deal, enthusiasts will still rejoice looking at these press photos, as the phone indeed looks great.

Not to mention that there is the aforementioned video that shows a bit more of the smartphone, though it does not provide a full walkthrough.

Even so, one can see the boot animation of Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus, which is visually appealing, and will also get the chance to have a look at the app screen.

For the time being, however, nothing is official on the release date of Galaxy Nexus at Verizon, or on when the pre-order period might begin.

We were expecting for Big Red to kick off reservations a few days ago but, as nothing happened, we’ll wait for an official announcement before being able to mark something in our calendars. Hopefully, it won’t be long before that happens, so stay tuned for more.
