Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is preparing the release of their first Google phone, the Galaxy Nexus, and some more confirmation that the launch will take place only in December has emerged.

No specific info on the exact launch date for the new Ice Cream Sandwich device has been unveiled, but Business Insider claims that Samsung confirmed the December release.

Galaxy Nexus has already landed in some markets in Europe, and is set to make an appearance in Canada on December 8th.

Verizon was initially expected to release the smartphone in November, but it seems that it had to push the release back to the next month, and it might have it on shelves on the 8th day of December, the same as Bell and Virgin up North.

However, no official confirmation on the launch date has been released for the time being, and we'll have to wait for a formal announcement before marking the day in our calendars.
