Mobile phone users in the United States interested in trying out 4G speeds on Verizon Wireless' network can now purchase the MiFi 4510L mobile hotspot from the wireless carrier for only $49.99 upon the signing of a contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

The 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi 4510L features a price tag of $269.99 if purchased free of contract, but Verizon has it available with the aforementioned cost on contract if purchased via its online store.

The device enables users to create a personal hotspot to access the Internet on various WiFi-enabled devices on the wireless carrier's 4G LTE network.

On the wireless carrier's network, users should enjoy speeds of around 5–12 Mbps on the downlink, and speeds of up to 2–5 Mbps on the uplink.

The specifications list of this 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi 4510L includes support for a number of up to 5 Wi–Fi capable devices, as well as Wi–Fi 802.11 b/g/n, CDMA 1xEV–DO Rev.A/Rev.0: 800/1900 MHz and 4G LTE (700MHz) connectivity options.

The new device comes with a MDM9600 chipset inside, is 4G SIM Card compatible, and sports Integrated External Status Display, with multi–color service state LED.

Moreover, it comes with External Antenna Connector (External antenna sold separately), VPN Capability, Auto–Connect features, Internet Browser, and support for Windows 7, Vista, and XP; Mac OS X 10.4.0 or higher and Linux.

The 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot MiFi 4510L measures 3.74" x 2.36 x 0.53 inches and weighs in at 3 oz. (85g). It can offer up to 5 hours of usage time, and sports shutoff with 30–minute timer on by default.
