LTE services will be available along the Jersey Shore

It looks like major carrier Verizon plans to expand its 4G LTE network to even more locations. The operator recently announced that, beginning May 17, LTE services will be available in 27 new markets.

Firstly, Verizon confirmed it would bring its LTE network to a large area along the Jersey Shore. With the 4G LTE network, customers can use 4G LTE wireless devices in Verizon's portfolio to browse the Internet at blazing fast speeds..

Moreover, users will be able to listen to music or watch videos, as well as download apps, and stay in touch with family and friends, with speeds up to 10 times higher than before.

According to the carrier, starting May 17 customers living in the following locations will be able take advantage of 4G LTE services: Sea Bright, Monmouth Beach, Belmar, Point Pleasant, Toms River, Atlantic City and Cape May County.

To help customers get the most of its 4G LTE network, Verizon Wireless is offering a wide range of LTE-enabled devices that can be paired with its affordable plans.

So far, the carrier offers customers the possibility to choose from a variety of more than 20, 4G LTE-enabled devices, including notebooks, netbooks, hotspots, modems, smartphones and tablets.

The new LG Lucid is one of the cheapest smartphones offering 4G LTE capabilities. Customers who prefer top tier devices, can wait for the soon to be launched DROID Incredible 4G LTE by HTC.

Aside from LTE support, the DROID Incredible 4G LTE allows users to shoot HD videos and capture photos at the same time, thanks to its Video Pic feature.

Currently, Verizon offers service in 230 markets nationwide and plans to deliver 4G LTE to its entire 3G wireless footprint by the end of 2013.
