Major carrier Verizon has just decided to make the top-selling mobile games purchased by customers with Verizon phones since the beginning of 2011 publicly known.
It appears that EA Mobile and
Gameloft have the best representation in top 10, but Glu Mobile's game is ranked number 1.
As technology progresses, so does the entertainment option that consumers have at their disposal.
Playing while on the go has become an entertainment factor in our lives, especially in a world where the time compressed so much to the point that there's little room for actual free time.
According to Verizon, since the beginning of 2011, its customers played a lot of games, but also purchased a lot.
The first ten best-selling mobile games of 2011 include titles such as:
- “Call of Duty: Black Ops” by Glu Mobile Inc;.
- “PAC-MAN” by Namco Bandai Games America, Inc.;
- “Daily Blackjack” by GOSUB 60, Inc.;
- “SCRABBLE” by EA Mobile;
- “UNO” by Gameloft;
- “Bubble Bash 2″ by Gameloft;
- “The Sims 3″ by EA Mobile;
- “The Oregon Trail” by Gameloft;
- “Need For Speed Hot Pursuit” by EA Mobile;
- “MADDEN NFL 11″ by EA Mobile.
The carrier offers customers all the above games and adds more than 350 others, which can be download directly on their Verizon Wireless phones.
However, Verizon allows customers to purchase and download games only from the Media Center/Get It Now under the
Games category.
Gamers should note that download charges vary and airtime or megabyte charges may apply when browsing, downloading and using certain applications.
In addition, customers can use the Verizon Wireless Online Media Store, which features a keyword search for easy access to games and smooth navigation through the entire collection of applications to discover new titles.
