Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless, together with Sunnyvale-based handset vendor Palm, announced at the CES2010 event in Las Vegas a few weeks ago the availability of Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus on its airwaves starting with January 25, 2010, and now it also unveiled the price tags the two handsets will sport. According to Big Red, the new phones will cost $149.99 and $99.99 on contract, respectively.

Previous reports on the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus also suggested that these would be the price tags the carrier would set for the two phones upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement, and now all has been confirmed. However, it should be noted that the carrier also asks for a $100 mail-in-rebate when it comes to Pre Plus, and that a rebate is in place for Pixi Plus too.

Those willing to purchase the new devices can opt for unlimited data plans that go for $29.99 per month, yet other options should also be there. Both devices come with a 3G Hotspot feature, which has been priced at $40 per month for those who would like to use them to provide Wi-Fi connectivity to additional devices.

At the same time, we should also mention that, according to mobileburn, the already rumored inclusion of the two handsets in Verizon's BOGO promotion has been also confirmed. To be more precise, Verizon offers users the possibility to purchase one Palm Pre Plus or Palm Pixi Plus and they can chose to get a Palm Pixi Plus free after a mail-in-rebate. The offer is good through February 14th. A contract agreement is required for both handsets, and the offer it set to expire on February 14, it seems.

In related news, we learn that an unboxing video of the Palm Pre Plus is also available. The handset comes with a series of enhancements over the original device, available from Sprint, including double the amount of RAM and internal memory, or the Mobile Hotspot app that turns it into a Wi-Fi hotspot.
