Motorola DROID is, undoubtedly, one of the nicest Android-based mobile phones available on the market today, offering users a nice range of capabilities, among which we can count its web connectivity features, as well as the entertainment functionality it comes around with. According to Verizon, DROID is compatible with a nice range of music applications too, which are available for download from the Android Market.
As most of you might already know, the carrier made a habit out of highlighting various software solutions for
the Motorola DROID, and this week's applications are related to the music features of the device. There are three apps put on display this time, all of which can be seen in the Verizon Channel in Android Market, including iheartradio, TuneWiki Social Media Player and Slacker Radio. In the end, Verizon seems set to prove that DROID is not all about being a robot, but that it can also offer a great deal of entertainment features to its users.
The first of the three
software solutions enables users to listen to more than “400 of America’s favorite radio stations,” not to mention a series of the best talk stations in the United States. All of the stations can be enjoyed for free with Clear Channel Radio Digital’s iheartradio. Users can easily bookmark favorite radio stations or view lyrics, and they can also enjoy on-demand content, such as exclusive performances or songs from some of the most popular music stars today.
The other two apps recommended for
DROID include:
- TuneWiki Social Media Player - TuneWiki is a free social media player that shows subtitled lyrics as you listen to your music, watch music videos, or stream songs through the SHOUTcast radio feature. Search for lyrics to over 2.5 million songs and get translations in over 40 languages. Other fantastic features include the Playback Widget and Facebook and Twitter integration.
- Slacker Radio - Get free personalized radio on your mobile phone with Slacker Radio, the best way to discover new artists and hear favorite songs. Create your own custom station or choose from over 100 expert-programmed radio stations from every genre.
