Officially confirmed by Verizon two days ago, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4G tablet is now available for purchase online and at all carrier's stores and authorized sellers.
Verizon's Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G 16GB version can be purchased for $529.99, while the 32GB model can be acquired for $629.99.
In addition, Verizon customers who purchase Samsung latest Honeycomb tablet will be able to choose one of the select mobile broadband data plans: $30 monthly access for 2GB monthly allowance, $50 monthly access for 5GB monthly allowance or $80 monthly access for 10GB monthly allowance.
Touted as one of the slimmest and lightest tablet available on the market, the
Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G LTE measures 256.7 x 175.3 x 8.6 mm and weighs 565g (battery included).
Equipped with a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, the tablet is powered by Google's Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system and is fully compatible with Verizon's 4G LTE network.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE sports a mediocre 3.0-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities (720p HD), as well as a secondary 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.
The tablet is delivered with Samsung Media Hub on board, which offers users a wide range of blockbuster movies and TV programs for rent or purchase.
It appears that the Media Hub's user interface has been re-hauled, so customers will now be able to playback
Media Hub content on their TV through an HDMI adapter, which is sold separately.
With full support for Adobe Flash 10.2, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G LTE makes it easier for users to stay connected while on the go within Verizon's 4G network coverage.
Besides the 16GB/32GB of internal memory, the tablet packs 1GB of RAM and lacks the standard microSD card slot for memory expansion.
On related news, Verizon confirmed that a 16GB Wi-Fi-only Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available for purchase starting August 4 for $499.99.
According to the carrier, the Wi-Fi-only model will be available in Metallic Grey color scheme.
