Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is set to release on Monday its first Palm handsets running under the webOS platform from the Sunnyvale vendor, the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus, and it wants us to remember that. The company is already known to launch enhanced versions of the two phones, with additional features when compared to the original models that went on sale via Sprint last year, and some of you might have encountered details on the pricing of the phones, but it seems that there are some details that didn't come up yet.

The Palm Pre Plus will become available for Verizon Wireless' customers on Monday featuring a price tag of $149.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate, while the Pixi Plus is set to cost $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. A two year contract agreement is required for each of them, and the same applies to a free Pixi that one can snag via Verizon's BOGO promotion while buying a Pre Plus or Pixi Plus. The handsets come with a built-in 3G Mobile Hotspot, and Verizon asks $40 (for 5 GB and 5 cents per megabyte overage) per month from those willing to enjoy the feature.

Big Red seems indeed determined to attract as many users as possible towards these phones, this also being the reason for which the Palm Pixi Plus is available for free via the BOGO promotion until February 14. Moreover, the carrier offers additional features with the Pixi Plus, including customization options for their devices via the Pixi Touchstone Back Covers. These covers are priced at $29.99 each, and will arrive at all Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online on the carrier's website in pink, blue, green, orange and black.

“Paired with Verizon Wireless’ new Nationwide Talk or Nationwide Talk & Text plans and a $29.99 monthly data plan, Palm Pre Plus is the perfect tool for the busy family manager, while Palm Pixi Plus is the perfect complement to a youngster as part of a Family SharePlan. Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plans begin at $39.99 monthly access and Nationwide Talk & Text Plans begin at $59.99 monthly access. Nationwide Unlimited Talk Plans and Nationwide Unlimited Talk & Text Plans are available at $69.99 and $89.99 monthly access, respectively. Nationwide Unlimited Talk Family SharePlans start at $119.99 monthly access for the first two lines, while the Nationwide Unlimited Talk & Text Family SharePlans are $149.99 monthly access for the first two lines of service,” the carrier also notes.
