Starting with February 10th, mobile phone users in the United States would have the possibility to purchase the Apple iPhone 4 on the airwaves of Verizon Wireless too, the carrier officially announced yesterday.

Undoubtedly, that would be a day that many enthusiasts won't forget, and Verizon seems pretty happy with being able to deliver the iconic device to its users as well.

“The phone that changed everything. Coming to America's most reliable network,” one can read on the carrier's website.

Moreover, the company also published an iPhone FAQ on its website, so that those who would like to purchase the device on its airwaves would be able to learn all the necessary details on the matter.

Among the most important info the wireless carrier is detailing there, we can count the fact that it would offer its customers the possibility to pre-order the device one week before general availability, or that the iPhone would be made available for purchase both with contract options and off contract.

“When purchasing iPhone at the 2 year promotional price a new agreement is required. However, you will also have the option to purchase iPhone at full retail price, which will not require you to sign a long-term agreement,” the company announced.

The contract price for the iPhone was set at $199.99 for the 16GB model, and $299.99 for the 32GB model.

The wireless carrier did not reveal specific monthly plans for the iPhone, but it confirmed that the purchase of this device would require any of the current Nationwide plans it had in store for its customers, and that the activation of a data package would also be included into the mix.

It appears that Verizon is confident that the iPhone 4 would see high demand on its airwaves, and suggests that it might even be sold out on the launch day.

“In the event that iPhone 4 is not available in stores after February 10th, you can place your order in store and have the phone shipped directly to your billing address. Shipments will take place on a “first come, first serve” basis. No billing will take place until shipments are made,” one can read in the said FAQ.

Those mobile phone users who have a contract agreement with another US carrier at the moment and would like to port their number to Verizon to benefit from the features of iPhone 4 would have the possibility to do so, the carrier states.
